Power & Glory

After the election, we can say many things. One word that comes to mind is chaos. My best friend, Mary T. used to say "Welcome to Chaos". everytime you entered her house.

We could say the same thing about the United States of America, Incorporated right now. Welcome to chaos. For me, the Barack Obama who spoke so eloquently in Grant Park on the night of his election has been replaced by a pod person from some right wing revival of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. I mean, he's not even eloquent anymore. He needs some chaos.

However, chaos and anarchy can be good things and chaos is going to be the subject of my next show along with some recollections on World War I and the real meaning of Armistice Day. We'll have poetry, music and chaos. So join me on November 18th and email me at mlv.amarcord@gmail.com
